Continuing on with this topic this article will address other colors that appear during energy readings and what they likely mean for you. Please note: As with words, colors can have several meanings, and when juxtaposed next to other colors or in particular patters, deeper meanings could be more applicable than what these general color definitions express.

The Significance of Color in Energy Readings

When I observe a color in your aura, it mirrors the energy you generate in life. Your emotions, thoughts, actions, behaviors, and intentions combine to form the energy you emit, which is what we perceive in our readings.

The Energies and their Colors

Pink: Compassion

When I see pink in a reading it normally means love and compassion. Caring for another, being in a kind and loving relationship, and/or a 'kind soul' type of personality.

Pink shows up in a person who frequently is thinking of a relationship with others, who exudes love and kindness to those in their life. An outpouring of compassion for others.

White: Divine & Purity

White comes in different meanings. At times, when it is like clouds it can represent common thoughts, normal emotions that one feels day in and day out. Nothing too profound, though large amounts of cloud cover could indicate a busy mind or confusion. White light, however, tends to represent a type of purity or holiness. White light, especially a temperature neutral white light, tends to represent a devout energy, one focused on faith and goodness. Not merely nice thoughts and a kind demeanor, but something more spiritual and devout. It is common with bright white light readings that the individual has a strong religious practice in their lives.

Brown: Grounding & Nature

Frequently relating to grounding efforts and energy. Muting the loud and abundant energies, brown energy often reflects a transfer of loud and active colors to a new style of expression. As when people ground themselves to balance wild energies, brown reflects efforts to stabilize and balance surrounding energies. Brown can also indicate a 'Mother Earth' style of energy; caring, nurturing and abundant.

Occasionally brown can also indicate muddling of energies, or a mix of several inputs from more than one individual causing confusion, uncertainty, or otherwise mixed and messy energy.

Gold: Value & Worth

Gold is an interesting color as it often shows up as a metal, and often polished or shining. Gold frequently represent a value energy, a crafted and intentional energy. It isn't common for gold to show up in a reading in an unpolished, unrefined state. This color often represents an energy that has been crafted and cultivated.

Transparent: Without color

Often energy readings will show a shape or an orb that is absent of color. It appears as glass or a translucent bubble. In these circumstances it often means the object itself is meant to protect or enrich other colors. Elements that show up as clear have their own purpose and intent and aren't comprised of an energy type, but more so an element that is meant to supplement or interact with other energies.

I was expecting a certain color to appear but it wasn't mentioned.

Sometimes an individual goes into a reading expecting to get a specific color, like their favorite color, or to align with a previous aura reading they received from a different person. When brought up I express that while these images are the result of the energy they are creating, they are also impacted by their environment. A soft gentle energy individual that has been living in a high energy environment may have their normal flow distorted and interrupted. A work project maybe impacting a person in ways they normally don't or might be in a new relationship with someone they just met a few months ago.

As a reminder, colors are normally generated from:

  • Thoughts and Emotions: Internal energy. Things you feel and things you think. Your brain and heart generate a lot of energy, these are likely main sources of the colors I see in the orb.

  • Physical efforts and the environment: External Energy. What you exert into the world and what the world gives back to you. This includes energy absorbed from relationships with others.

Reflecting on Your Color and Its Influence on Others

Gaining a clearer understanding of what you project to the world can provide you with a better perspective on how to adjust your life and efforts as you wish. Gaining a new perspective on your energy could enhance your relationships by understanding how you affect those around you.
