Synchronicities - Words and Typing

11:11, 1:11, 9:11, 12:34, 2:22 are common symbols, but what about spoken and written language?

While we've all seen repeating numbers on license plates, billboards, clocks and watches, how many folks have word synchronicities?

Over the last two years I've started to recognize spoken and written synchronicities, and more than just a couple a month.

It is very frequent now that I will be typing something and type a word that someone else spoke out loud at the exact same moment.

When I say exact, I mean if I were speaking instead of typing, I'd say "Jinx" to the person. Not a second before or after, or 'Oh I wrote that word and then a moment later you said it'. What I am experiencing is typing the same word as someone else speaks it at the exact same moment.

Much like in another blog post where I briefly cover my history with numerical syncs, this one took a while for me to acknowledge as synchronicities and not me going crazy. The first instances occurred while I was on the clock at my corporate job. Listening to Podcasts as I complete reports and write up emails and other interoffice communications. Sometimes during meetings when reports were still due, but the meetings were also deemed 'important' so I typed and listened at the same time, I'd run into these instances.

I am focused on typing out information and someone would speak a word that I just typed out. In the instances where I was in a meeting and someone on the Zoom call would say out loud a word that I just typed on my screen, I thought it was likely common, since we're both talking about the same general topic.

When it started to happen while I was listening to Podcasts, that theory no longer was valid. Comedians interviewing each other have very little crossover to weekly metric updates, or summaries of software development to other managers.

At this point in my Spiritual journey I was much more comfortable sharing these synchronicities to anyone, not just like minded folks. They happened so frequently, so blatantly that I had to share them out. Thanks to electronic media, copy/pasting makes it very easy to share out these instances. I could show timestamps of the Podcast and when I typed something in a instant message chat, those two timestamps helped to reveal I was experiencing something frequently.

These instance also happened at home and in my leisure time with friends. How I get others to acknowledge this phenomena, I would politely, but quickly interrupt and ask 'What was that last word you just said?' as I turn my laptop or my cellphone to their face so they can see what I just typed aligned with what they just said.

In near all circumstances of me sharing out my unique and bizarre stories, dreams and other forms of serendipity, there's is a person with a 'logical' explanation for what just happened.

With these however, I have yet to receive a meaningful or sound explanation for what is happening. Once I showed a person or group several instances, my politeness and candor diminishes on future syncs, and I will blurt out 'What'd you just say?' as I turn my device to their face.

What does it mean? I don't know. Why does it happen? I don't know. Is it Spiritual or some sort of message? Is it a hyper active brain? Overactive pattern finding? I don't know.

There were a few months where I had created a specific thread in a group chat that cataloged all the syncs I experienced while listening and typing. I wasn't able to put a meaningful or sensical sentence together with the words, nor could I discern a pattern or commonality with the words that were being Jinxed.

Perhaps I didn't group enough words together, or perhaps I am not clever enough to mix around words to make messages appear. Which I would like to express, if this was an example of 'hyper pattern recognition' or I'm looking for these syncs, or otherwise forcing these patterns to emerge, why am I unable to group those words together to create an ultra-message? Wouldn't a person hyper fixated on finding words and messages that really aren't there, somehow piece together the code and come to the conclusion of divine communication, or at the very least, a statement to drink Ovaltine?

As I do when I see numeral patterns I take it as a sign nevertheless. At the very least, I pause what I'm doing, take a breathe, acknowledge the universe, acknowledge the Now, pull myself out of the auto-pilot thinking or mindset I might be in, and practice gratitude. Say thank you for my life, thank you for the ones I love, and acknowledge I am still on my spiritual journey.

I do like when these syncs happen though. When I recognize them I feel alert and aware. I couldn't have recognized it if I wasn't paying attention, or was so engrossed in what I am doing that I can't be aware of my surroundings.

They also seem to occur when I am most busy, typing and listening at the same time. I need to be involved in two different conversations at the same time. Perhaps that is a key to this, being involved in more than one train of thought simultaneously. Perhaps if not a spiritual or universal system letting me know that "I'm on the right track" it is purely a mathematical probability, that one who is engaged in two conversations using the same language the percentage of Jinxed words occurring is surprisingly high. Something like the Birthday paradox, where a surprisingly low number of people together in one place will have two folks share a birthdate.

To counter that, I'll restate these are exact timing overlaps. If I spoke the word instead of typed it I would shout 'Jinx, you owe me a Coke". Jinxes are common, yet rare enough where a game has formed, and when it happens everyone laughs and acknowledges the highly unlikely circumstance. How would you feel if you found yourself calling out Jinx several times a week, for weeks on end? What would you do if you couldn't help but find yourself aligned with distant co-workers, friends across the table, or celebrities you've never met, listening to their words they recorded weeks or years previous to your current typing activities?

If you find yourself in these situations, please let me know what you do, how you react, or better, if you have an explanation. I am curious what causes these Jinxes to occur, and would be willing to research any suggestion, especially if I can recreate it. Let me know if this has happened to you, or what you would do if you found yourself frequently aligning with others during two separated and unrelated conversations.

Thank you
